Display Color
The Display Color dialog lets you customize the color and show/hide state by layer and primitive type, replacing the previous color configuration in the PCB/footprint Theme Setting.
It is a second entry to the same set of configurations as the Display tab of the right panel; changes to either are synchronized. See Right Panel - Display for details.
Entry
- PCB / Footprint editor: Top Menu - View - Display Color (above Switch Brightness)
- Global shortcut key and menu hotkey are supported (none by default)

Dialog Structure
The dialog is divided into two tabs:
- Layer/Element: in table form, the columns are primitive types (Pad, Track, Copper Area, etc.) and the rows are layers; each cell supports checking (show/hide) and modifying the color value

- Canvas: canvas-related color configurations such as Cursor, Background, Grid, Select Box, Highlight, Drill and Board Shape

Steps
- Open the Display Color dialog
- In the table, check or modify the color in the cell where the target layer and primitive type intersect; the canvas previews the change in real time
- Click Apply or Confirm to save it to the current PCB; closing the dialog restores the original state

Common Controls
- Hide Unused Layers: checked by default; only the currently enabled layers are shown
- Filter layer / Filter Objects: filter the rows and the columns of the table respectively; when both take effect, the intersection is used
- Global Visibility: On / Off / Last, controls the show/hide of all layers and objects
- Follow Layer: the cell color value can be set to follow the color of the layer it belongs to
- Reset Default: restores to the cloud-stored state of the current config
Config Management
The config drop-down in the lower left corner supports switching, Save As, setting as the default for new PCBs, Rename, Del and Save Config. Up to 30 custom configs. Import/export of configs is supported.

Panel Linkage
- Unchecking all primitives of a layer in the Layer/Element tab hides the corresponding layer in the Layer panel, and vice versa
- Unchecking all layers of a primitive in the Layer/Element tab hides the corresponding primitive in the Filter panel, and vice versa
