Via: Top Menu - Place - Rectangle or shortcut alt + R

Left-click anywhere in the drawing area, set the endpoint position of the rectangle, move the mouse to display the preview effect, click again to end the drawing, and select the rectangle.

Move the mouse, click the left button to determine the end point of the next rectangle, Esc exits the rectangle drawing mode, the unfinished rectangle is deleted, and the mouse state is restored to the selection mode, and the right panel can be set to add properties after selecting.
