Slot Region
In PCB design, whether it is the creepage spacing of high-voltage boards or the requirements of the board structure, it is often encountered that the board needs to be grooved. The groove is to hollow out the designed PCB.
The specific operation steps are as follows:
- Top Menu - Place - Slot Region
When the cursor turns into a cross, you can draw in the PCB
After drawing, the PCB has a slot region
Notice:
For the circular slot region, starting from version 1.9, those with a diameter less than or equal to 6.5mm will be presented in the NPTH file of the Drill file, while those greater than 6.5mm will be presented in the GKO border file of the Gerber file.
For versions less than 1.9, both circular and non-circular slot regions will be presented in the GKO border file of the Gerber file.
